The Xiaomi Mi 9T Full Review – Beautifully Designed

The Xiaomi Mi 9T is Xiaomi’s most in-demand mid-range device in 2019 amongst a few. As a matter of fact, there was really no other competition other than Xiaomi’s own Redmi Note 8 pro. However, despite how this device stood out amongst a big pool of smartphones it wasn’t given that much attention, I decided to take a close look and review this for myself.

Unboxing

The Xiaomi Mi 9T also known as the Redmi K20 in other regions was indeed an eye-catcher because of its unique design. The feel in the hand is even great although this may be subjective since some prefer the flat surface, curved is more my thing.

After spending about a good few weeks, the performance was a definite win considering that it rocks Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730 process paired with 6 Gigabytes of RAM. But the real kicker is the display as it comes with an AMOLED display. Considering the price of the Xiaomi Mi 9T isn’t exactly flagship-grade, It does perform very well and is a solid purchase even in 2020.

If you’re considering getting one for yourself, below are online platforms where the Xiaomi Mi 9T is still available with the inclusion of discounted rates for each one.

The good thing about the Mi 9T aside from the price point is the fact that it still supports software updates for the months and years to come. It also comes with a decent set of camera lenses which gives you versatility especially with the likes of sharing content on social media and still manages to come with a headphone jack which is a rather rare feature nowadays.

If there’s anything that lacks with the Xiaomi Mi 9T which would’ve given this a 10/10 in my book, is the lack of the iconic IR blaster which is often seen on other Xiaomi smartphones that is above the $200 price point. If this had that, It would’ve been a perfect daily driver for me.

Want to get your own Xiaomi Mi 9T? Sadly, not a lot of retailers still cater or have this product available but I did manage to find one particular e-commerce platform which is Gearbest, you can get yours at a much cheaper rate in contrast to how much it was when it was first released by clicking here.

Initial Impressions

In my honest opinion, the design choice of the Xiaomi Mi 9T is quite the looker indeed, especially in person. Images online are okay but in person, it’s just a totally different experience. For the price, it does perform decently and as opposed to other smartphones that come with the iconic pop-up selfie camera, this fits the budget just fine.
