The OnePlus Nord Full Review

The OnePlus Nord Full Review

The OnePlus Nord is the first smartphone released by OnePlus in years that’s under a certain price tag that gives value for money to consumers. Unlike other OnePlus devices, this is geared towards the mid-range category where it comes with a toned-down version of its flagship offerings like the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.

The OnePlus Nord is pretty much in a category of its own and although there are cheaper alternatives in the market from brands like OPPP, VIVO, and Xiaomi, The Nord still delivers on the things that you’d actually need without the cost of quality and overly exaggerated design elements.

For a quick unboxing, and what comes in the box here’s a video uploaded not too long ago:

What’s interesting about the Nord is that despite its toned-down specifications, it doesn’t exactly feel like a mid-range device. I was using a OnePlus 7T pro not too long ago and having to shift to this it actually performs similarly and that’s mainly because of how well Oxygen OS is optimized. Some of the noteworthy features of the Nord are as follows:

  • 6.44-inch Fluid AMOLED display covered in Gorilla Glass 5
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G
  • A Quad Camera configuration with a 48 MP Primary lens
  • A Dual Front Facing Camera with a 32 MP Primary lens
  • A 4,115 mAh battery with support for the iconic Warp Charge 30T
  • A Dedicated Alert slider

Although there were some elements of what an “ideal” smartphone is that is missing, for the price, it’s really not that big of a deal. This of course includes the headphone jack, stereo speakers, IP rating. Of course, these are just personal preference types of features since we’re pretty much in the age of wireless earbuds much like the Momax Spark that I’ve recently reviewed on my YouTube channel.

Currently, the OnePlus Nord is valued at around $400 but if you’re in the Philippines, you can get your very own Oneplus Nord with all Digital Walker platforms as well as homeofficeph or via the Lazada app.
